It’s been a busy week. I had a blog post planned about visiting the art show of a friend, only to be not only a week early, but also, randomly, confronted by some boys with guns as we visited.
In this case, thankfully, they were harmless. A local ‘police academy’ of sorts. They weren’t expecting people to be around I suppose. We weren’t expecting boys with guns. I guess we were both surprised.
I realize more and more that I don’t feel safe in my own country. We removed any tell tale stickers from our car for the trip west, lest a random guy with a gun decide we weren’t welcome with our leftish leaning views. And so tomorrow we hit the road.
It’s almost a shame to leave just now, the weather being so fine of late, the garden just coming into its own. But the road calls. It is my hope that this new ‘jet pack’ app for WordPress is successful in allowing me to blog along the way and to keep in touch with you all in our own way. We shall see if it works!
